Willie Was Great, Event Management Awful
Zack Fox (DJ Set)'s performance was fantastic, showing why he remains a hit. We had scattered showers come through during the performance, not unexpected, and while we got a little wet, it didn't really detract from the performance. The major problem with the performance is that the Event Management seems to practice very little crowd control. People sitting near the front started standing and dancing around during the performance, blocking the view for those behind. One woman near the front spent most of the concert standing on her chair, a folding chair no less) and dancing around. Two-thirds of the way through the concert at least 3 or 4 rows across the front were standing and, people were standing and dancing in the aisles, with disregard for those whose view they were blocking. Event management ignored it and, with the continuous playing, there were not breaks where we could yell to the people in front to sit down. When it was raining, several people opened umbrellas, something normally banned in outdoor concerts, of course blocking the view of those behind. Some kept them up after the shower moved on through. I could not believe the rude and selfish behavior of those who blocked the view of those further back. On the fence about whether I would recommend a repeat of this performance.
